Ancient Greece | Six-week in-person programme
What would it have been like to grow up in Sparta? Why did the Greeks believe the gods were part of everyday life? Did the Trojan War really happen — and what can a 2,500-year-old pot tell us about the people who made it?
Over six in-person, project-based sessions, young people will step into the world of Ancient Greece — exploring gods and mythology, Athens and Sparta, the first Olympic Games, archaeology and the evidence behind some of history's greatest stories.
Plus, we'll take our learning out into the world with a study trip to the British Museum, where learners will become young historians for the day: investigating real Ancient Greek artefacts, gathering evidence and bringing their discoveries back into their own projects.
Expect discussion, investigation, debate, making and plenty of big questions — not six weeks of worksheets.
The programme supports the development of GCSE Ancient History skills, with learners' work being AQA-accredited.
How Does That Work?
Introduction to Physics | Six-week in-person programme
Ever wondered what’s actually inside an electric motor? Why gears make things move? How a speaker turns electricity into sound — or what happens if you take an everyday machine completely apart?
This is physics with the covers taken off.
Over six weeks, we’ll get our hands on old electrical and mechanical objects and investigate what makes them work. We’ll dismantle things, trace circuits, experiment with motors, magnets, gears, springs and forces — and sometimes attempt to put everything back together again!
Along the way, we’ll discover the physics behind everyday technology and explore key ideas from the AQA GCSE Physics curriculum, including:

Welcome to Philosophy — where asking a really good question can be more interesting than finding an easy answer. A six-week course for curious minds aged 13–16
Over six weeks, we’ll explore some of philosophy’s strangest, biggest and most enduring questions through thought experiments, discussion and debate.
We’ll encounter some of the thinkers who have spent centuries arguing about them, learn how to pull an argument apart, question assumptions and, work out what you think and why.
At the end of the course, you’ll choose one of the big questions we’ve explored and present your own philosophical position.

How do scientists begin to understand an ocean full of life?
Our new Introduction to Marine Science course invites curious 12–13-year-olds to explore oceans, marine species, rocky shores and conservation through six weeks of engaging, project-based learning.
Learners will investigate the extraordinary variety of marine life, develop practical research and enquiry skills, and begin creating work linked to AQA-supported learning outcomes—all within a welcoming, small-group environment.
Murder, Magic & Ambition
Macbeth | Six-week in-person programme
Witches. Prophecies. Murder. Betrayal. Guilt. And one spectacularly disastrous grab for power…
This autumn, our English Literature teacher will be leading a small group of just 8 young people through Shakespeare's Macbeth. This isn't simply GCSE tuition.
Over six weeks, learners will read, discuss, question and explore the play together — getting to grips with its characters, language and some wonderfully big questions about ambition, power, fate, loyalty and guilt.
Along the way they'll develop many of the skills used in GCSE English Literature, including interpreting texts, selecting evidence, analysing language and developing their own ideas.
🏅 AQA-recognised achievement
The module will incorporate learning outcomes from the AQA Unit Award Scheme, with the opportunity for learners to receive formal recognition of what they have achieved.
🎭 And we'll take Macbeth off the page…
Halfway through the module, learners will have the option to join us to see Macbeth performed live at a theatre in Tunbridge Wells. (Additional cost.)
