A Bit About the Course
GCSE Textiles at Better EdSpace is a creative, hands-on course for students aged 14+ who enjoy designing, making, and exploring materials. Over two years, students develop practical textile skills alongside a strong understanding of design thinking, sustainability, and visual communication.
Following the AQA GCSE Art and Design: Textiles specification, the course balances experimentation and creativity with structured design processes and critical reflection. Students learn to work independently, develop personal ideas, and produce high-quality textile outcomes supported by sketchbooks and practical work.
