Money Skills: Cost of Living & Independence

What does it really cost to live independently?

In this practical, interactive workshop, we'll explore some of the everyday financial decisions that come with becoming more independent.

We'll look at typical living costs including rent, bills, food and everyday spending; think about needs versus wants; and explore how the choices we make affect the amount of money we have available.

The emphasis is on real-life understanding rather than complicated maths. Young people will work through examples and activities designed to help them feel more confident talking and thinking about money.

Suitable for ages 14–15. No previous knowledge needed.

This is the first of three stand-alone Money Skills for Real Life workshops. Young people are welcome to attend one, two or all three.
