Money Skills: Building & Balancing a Budget

How do you make your money stretch far enough?

In this practical, interactive workshop, we'll explore how to build a realistic budget and what happens when plans meet real life.

We'll look at income and spending; fixed and flexible costs; how to prioritise when money is limited; and how small everyday choices can affect the bigger picture. Young people will have a go at creating and balancing their own example budgets, including dealing with some unexpected costs along the way.

The emphasis is on useful real-life decision-making rather than complicated maths, helping young people develop confidence in planning, adjusting and making informed choices about money.

Suitable for ages 14–15. No previous knowledge needed.
